MENTAL HEALTH GROUP HOME LICENSING PRESENTATION - US Fed News Service, Including US State News

FREDERICK, Md., April 26 -- The city of Frederick issued the following news release:

Maryland Department of Health and Mental Health will present information about the licensing process for mental health group homes on Wednesday, April 27th at 7:00 PM in the Municipal Annex Bldg located at 140 West Patrick Street. The City of Frederick will discuss regulatory restrictions on local governments with respect to group homes. In addition, several representatives from the local mental health community will also be in the audience and available to answer questions about group homes or other issues concerning mental health.

GOAL

* Provide information on licensing process - DHMH

* Discuss regulatory restrictions on local Government - Joe Adkins

* Answer questions that residents may have - DHMH, Joe Adkins, and mental health community representatives

AGENDA

7:00PM Introductions of DHMH and City representative, and of mental health community representatives in audience

7:10PM Presentation from DHMH about licensing process

7:30PM Information from City about regulatory restrictions on local government

7:45PM Q&A for DHMH, City, or mental health community representatives
